MUSE I,II,III showcases the state of mind of black and immigrant women who lead a fight on three different fronts within the new society they evolve in. The first fight is being respected holistically. Their nude bodies should not automatically be sexualized. The second fight is protection of their children in an era where maintaining their innocence and naivety is increasingly difficult. The last fight is preserving their cultural heritage for themselves and generations to come.
In our so called « civilized societies », in these so called « modern times », the feeling of walking in a concrete jungle remains constant. This is a defensive state of mind that, as a mean of survival, quickly becomes a necessity.
